White Cross Bay is a David Bellamy Gold Award 60 acre, 4 star, woodland Holiday Park situated in the heart of the Lake District, midway between Ambleside and Bowness, directly on the pebbled shores of Lake Windermere. A stream runs through the park encouraging ducks and other wildlife.

FREE Leisure facilities, which includes the swimming pool & fitness gym, is included in the price. Also there is a restaurant, fast food takeaway, both serving food all day and a lounge bar where live entertainment is available most weekends in peak season. By the reception there is a small shop/off-licence.

The outdoor facilities include children’s play area, a new multi-use play area for
 5-a-side football, tennis and basketball court and the new beer garden which is adjacent to the play area. For dog owners there is a dog walk in the wooded area, where dog bins are provided. Down by the Marina there is a grassed picnic area where you can take in the panorama of the lake and the surrounding fells.

At White Cross Bay sailing and water sports enthusiasts can enjoy, one of the best Marina and boat launching facilities on Lake Windermere.

The Lake District offers opportunities for leisure activities including: walking, bird watching, climbing, cycling, fishing, golf, sailing and windsurfing.

Within walking distance is the Lake District Visitor Centre at Brockhole and a short distance after that there is Low Wood Water Sports centre, with the centres of Bowness, Ambleside, Hawkeshead and Grasmere only a short drive away offering a wide range of shops, cafés, restaurants and attractions.
